Privacy Policy
Privacy Policy
Effective Date: 27 Mar 26
This Privacy Policy explains how Contacts - Phone Dialer ("we," "us," or "our") handles user data. We are committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring transparency about the permissions our application requires.
Because our app is designed as a standalone, offline utility to act as your device's Default Phone Handler, we do not collect, store, transmit, or share your personal data with any external servers or third parties. All data processing occurs strictly locally on your device.
1. Data We Access and Why We Need It
To function as a complete phone dialer and contact manager, our app requires specific Android device permissions. We only access this information to provide the app's core features directly on your device:
Contacts (READ_CONTACTS, WRITE_CONTACTS): We access your device's contact list so you can view, search, add, edit, and organize your address book within our app's interface. This data never leaves your device.
Call Logs (READ_CALL_LOG, WRITE_CALL_LOG): We require access to your call history to display your recent incoming, outgoing, and missed calls. You can also delete call history directly through the app.
Phone and Calling Operations (CALL_PHONE, ANSWER_PHONE_CALLS, READ_PHONE_STATE): As a Default Phone Handler, we need these permissions to initiate outgoing calls, answer incoming calls, and recognize when your phone is ringing or active so the app can display the appropriate calling screen.
Audio and Device Hardware (MODIFY_AUDIO_SETTINGS, BLUETOOTH_CONNECT, VIBRATE): These permissions allow the app to route call audio properly (e.g., switching between earpiece, speakerphone, or connected Bluetooth headsets) and provide haptic feedback during calls.
System Alerts and Foreground Services (SYSTEM_ALERT_WINDOW, USE_FULL_SCREEN_INTENT, FOREGROUND_SERVICE, POST_NOTIFICATIONS): These permissions are strictly used to ensure you are notified of incoming calls immediately, displaying our active calling screen even if your device is locked or you are using another application.
2. Third-Party Libraries and SDKs
Our application is built using standard Android user interface and development libraries (such as AndroidX, Lottie for animations, and UI layout tools).
Based on our software architecture:
No Internet Access: Our app does not request or possess the Android INTERNET permission.
No Trackers or Analytics: We do not use third-party tracking software, crashlytics, or behavioral analytics.
No Advertising Networks: We do not serve third-party advertisements or integrate ad network SDKs that track user data.
3. Data Sharing and Disclosure
Because Contacts - Phone Dialer operates 100% offline and possesses no network capabilities, it is technically impossible for us to share, sell, or disclose your personal information, contact lists, or call logs to any third-party company, organization, or government entity.
4. Data Security and Retention
Your data is secured by your device's native operating system protections. Since we do not host your data on external servers, the retention of your contacts and call logs is entirely under your control.
How to delete your data:
Because no data is stored on our end, you have full control over your information. You can permanently revoke the app's access to your data at any time by:
Revoking permissions via your device's Settings > Apps > Contacts - Phone Dialer > Permissions.
Clearing the app's data and cache in your device settings.
Uninstalling the application entirely.
5. Children's Privacy
Our application does not knowingly collect any personal information from children under the age of 13. Since the app functions solely as a local telecommunications utility and does not transmit data over the internet, no child's data is exposed to us or third parties through the use of this app.
6. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy periodically to reflect changes in our app's features or Google Play policies. Any updates will be provided within the app or updated on our Google Play Store listing. Continued use of the app after any changes indicates your acceptance of the updated policy.
7. Contacting Us
Because we do not maintain external servers, user accounts, or collect your data, there is no centralized data controller to process individual data deletion requests. All data management remains in your hands on your local device.
For general support, feedback, or feature requests regarding the app's functionality, please reach out to us by leaving a review or utilizing the Developer Contact support system provided directly on our Google Play Store listing page.
